Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-09-03

These terms cover your use of Bookseed. They describe what the service does, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

About these terms

Bookseed is a service of TianSphere Limited. By using Bookseed you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

We may update these terms as the product changes. We will change the date at the top of this page when we do.

The service

Bookseed turns your idea into an ebook. You describe the book, and Bookseed writes a specification, a table of contents, and every chapter, then designs a cover and typesets a PDF.

On the free plan, Bookseed generates your whole book but lets you read only the first two chapters. A Pro subscription unlocks the full PDF download.

Your account

You sign in with an emailed one-time code, or with your Google account. We do not use passwords.

Keep access to your email or Google account secure. Anyone who can sign in as you can see and download your books and spend your credits.

You must be 18 or older to create a Bookseed account.

Credits

Bookseed runs on credits. New accounts start with 50 free credits. Planning your book is free. Suggesting titles, creating the outline, building the book, drawing extra covers and rewriting a chapter after its first free rewrite each cost credits. The cost is shown next to every button before you click.

If a step fails, we return its credits to your account automatically. You do not need to ask.

Credits have no cash value. We do not exchange them for money, and we do not refund unused credits, except where the law requires it.

Pro subscription

A Pro subscription gives you a set number of credits every month, from 300 credits for $29 a month to 2000 credits for $99 a month. Your credit balance is set to your plan amount at each renewal; unused credits do not carry over to the next month.

If you move to a higher tier, we add the extra credits right away. If you move to a lower tier, the change takes effect at your next renewal.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel any time from Manage billing in Settings. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to the free plan.

We do not refund the unused part of a subscription period, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong with a charge, contact us at hello@bookseed.io and we will look into it.

Your books and our rights

The idea you type in and the book Bookseed writes from it are yours. We claim no rights in your idea or in the finished book.

You are responsible for how you use and publish your book, including checking that it meets the rules of any platform you publish it to.

We keep the right to remove content that breaks the Acceptable use section below, and to suspend accounts that do.

AI-generated text and images

Bookseed writes chapters and designs covers using AI models. AI output can be wrong, out of date, or similar to text or images that already exist elsewhere.

Read your book before you publish it. Check facts, quotes and any claims you plan to rely on.

We make no promise about sales, downloads, or income from any book you make.

Acceptable use

Do not use Bookseed to generate content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that is intended to harass or deceive people.

Do not try to interfere with the service, access other users' accounts, or bypass the credit system.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Bookseed available, but we do not promise it will always be up or free of errors. We may change or remove features as the product develops.

If a change removes something material to your plan, we will tell you by email where we reasonably can.

Ending your account

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. This cancels any active subscription, removes your books and credits, and signs you out everywhere.

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, after trying to reach you where practical.

Liability

Bookseed is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Hong Kong. Any dispute is handled by the courts of Hong Kong.
